New School Record!

Jaxon Claussen broke the scoring record for Wausa Public School this past week.

The previous record was held by Dave Holmquist, Class of 1969, with 1554 career points.

Hartington Speech Meet Update!

HARTINGTON SPEECH MEET UPDATE!!

Due to impending bad weather (Winter Storm Warning), the HNS/CCHS Speech Invite has been cancelled. The meet will not be rescheduled.

In an effort to present in a competitive environment, we will be going to Wynot on Monday for a Speech triangular with Wynot and Hartington-Newcastle.

Schedules will be put out Monday morning. Here's what we know so far:

We will start presenting at 9 AM. Each entry will perform twice during the day.

I will put out another SportsYou post regarding what time you have to be here Monday morning for arrival and leave time. It won't be much earlier than regular school time.

Medal Ceremony

Please join us Wednesday, January 25th at 9:40 for the Play Production State Championship Medal Ceremony. The cast and crew will be presented with their state medals, during a presentation of the play followed by cake and ice cream!

We are excited to see everyone there and to celebrate the students wonderful accomplishment!

Wausa Boys Basketball will play TCNE on January 27th at home, starting with JV will start at 6:00 followed by Varsity

Wausa Girls Basketball will play TCNE on February 6th at home, starting with JV at 6:00 followed by Varsity

Girl's Parents night will be on Tuesday, January 24th vs Bloomfield

Boy's Parents night will be on Thursday, January 26th vs Summerland

Business Manager Job Opportunity

Wausa Public Schools is seeking applicants for the school business manager position. An associate's degree or higher is required. This is a non-certificated position; a Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate is not required. Experience in business management and accounting preferred. This position reports to the school Superintendent, the board of education finance committee, and/or the Superintendent’s Designee. This position is a 12-month salaried position, with insurance and retirement benefits, and paid vacation.
